Replacement of Plastic Guide Strips on Rear Bed Slide

I wanted to ask is there anything special to replacing the plastic strips that "guide" the rear support bars other than just removing and replacing all those screws. On our 2nd trip out with the TM, one of the bars jumped out of the track and put a real nice dent/ scratch in the bottom of the slide. The strips are warped and brittle, and a small piece at one end has broken off. As far as I can tell, it looks like just removing the old and reattaching new strips - is there anything else hiding under there I should know about?
I am taking my TM up to the Car Show in Colorado Springs next week to have the lift system tuned, and if there is something that should be done as far as adjustment, I can have it done there. I don't want to pay their labor cost to just replace strips if I can do it myself. Advice appreciated as always!

Have to replace one of my strips. Just a piece of 1" plastic strip that is screwed on, nothing special.

With the bed at full extension, I found both plastic strips cracked where the white circular piece applies pressure on the strips. In my case, the supporting material (wood or other materisl) has given way and caused the plastic damage. I'll be passing by the NE factory on the way back to FL and let them determine the cause. Definitely, more at issue than just replacing the plastic in my case.

We replaced both of ours long ago. One thing that you have to make sure of is that the bolt/washer configuration at the end of the support bars is just right; if they're not just right they'll keep popping out. We have a scratch on the bottom of ours too, but who's going to see it?

During the Q/A-new owner orientation I asked about the best "non-stick lubricant" for those plastic slides. Dry silicone (less dirt attraction).
After a few months we noticed they seemed a little sticky and one of the nylon washers had slipped out of its usual alignment. Took off a couple of the screws, pulled out the displaced nylon washer to its usual orientation, replaced the screws and then sprayed with dry silicone.
Now both bed platforms slide easily like ice skate blades on a frozen pond.

I also replaced mine years ago, and bought them from the factory. Absent availability there, I would look for nylon strips at McMaster-Carr. They will have all shapes, sizes, and compositions.

Factory for me. I bought two of them just in case we needed the other, and we did soon after.

I think that any of the dealers can order them for you and have them shipped to your location.

The body shop is going to order our parts from Custom RV in Ontario, CA.

Upon return from our trip from FL to the west coast, today my wife and I stopped in at the Nebraska factory to pick up the neoprene bed strips and other spare parts that need replacement. We met Cleo, Bob and several of their employees. We were there about 2 hours during which time I asked several questions of John, an employee. He was extremely helpful in answering my questions and tweeked a few things on our TM. All the employees were very nice. I purposely did not discuss any financial issues while there. Bob showed me a prototype of the release for the front slide on our 2014 2417 Sport. I'm glad he mentioned it because I probably would have pushed or pulled not knowing there is a pin that needs pulled and a piece that needs turned before you can manually move the slide in or out. All in all it was a worthwhile stop. On to the Iowa "Field of Dreams" tomorrow.
