TM Major Damage Repair Journal
I picked up an insurance-totalled TM 3023 with cosmetic hail dents for a "you can afford to mess it up" price. I've started a blog of what I'm doing with it at http://perens.com/rv/

BTW adding two solar panels to my rear module did not change the lift weight much.

Solar Panel weight
Hi Padgett, I do see that there is range on the rear torsion bars, and I am going to try cranking them up to see how much weight they will lift.

Hi klpauba, I was wondering how much time it would take for someone to recognize me. No time at all :-) Either the Open Source fans or the radio hams (I'm K6BP) were going to do it.

You may find that by cranking up the torsion, you may have difficulty closing down the roof.

If you are thinking about acquiring a wardrobe to replace the one you are missing, we don't use ours and I removed it from the trailer years ago. Shipping costs would be high but if you ever pass through SE Texas, keep it in mind.

Thanks for the offer. I am getting to DFW for business. How far are you from there?

Well, I am figuring that I can temporarily duct-tape between 2 and 5 solar panels to the roof section, and figure out how many it will lift with the torsion bars cranked higher than at present. So, the added weight should make it possible to close the trailer.
