Pfeiffer Big Sur, CA 4th of July 2013

I have a reservation for Pfeiffer Big Sur, Site #23, for June 30th, leaving Sunday, July 7th. I'm going to cancel this reservation some time this week, so if any of you fellow TM'ers want to stay in Big Sur over 4th of July (it's completely booked now) you can probably book it. Once it's cancelled, it appears almost immediately on reserveamerica.com as being available.

Send me a PM if you'd like me to let you know when I'm going to cancel.

I love this campground, D'. I wish we could be there - but we will be on the wrong side of the country. It is really nice of you to let folks here know about the availability of the site.

Excellent campground. We were through there 2 weeks ago. Not camping but riding our motorcycle from LA through Big Sur to SF and back. One of our favorite views is McWay Falls.

Yes, it is a beautiful campground and area. One of our favorite hikes is out through Andrew Molera State Park to the beach. We were checking out the campground this weekend (Pfeiffer) and thought about taking the hike to the beach through Molera, but it was really cold (50 degrees; hey, it's California

and we're spoiled), and the river (creek) that you have to wade through to get to the beach was running pretty high so we stopped at Pt. Lobos on the way home and walked around there instead.
