Default End of season

Boy,did my first camping season go fast ! But I had a blast.
Ok,my question is.................I know I need to clean out the cabinets, ect.
What can I leave in the camper over the winter ? Can the dishes and such be left in the TM, or would it be best to clean it out bare ?
Thanks for all the help with my first season ! I can't wait until April

We live in an area where it freezes so we remove anything edible or that could be damaged by the freeze (canned goods). We leave everything else in the TM.

As Irene says, remove anything having a water-based liquid, since the liquid will freeze. Canned goods (soup, etc) and bottles of water-based liquid (ketchup, etc) are good examples. You can probably leave oil-based things - cooking oil, peanut butter, as long as they are tightly sealed. Oil won't freeze, and it won't turn rancid over a winter.

Be sure to clean out the cabinets really well, to get rid of any crumbs, and then give the insides a quick wipe with bleach to remove any food smell.

Remove things like crackers and dry spaghetti in a plastic bag or cardboard container, since the smell will draw mice. A bar of soap will also draw mice, but in my experience, dish soap and hand sanitizer in closed plastic bottles are OK

thanks. I knew anything liquid that would freeze would need to be removed. I was concerned about the electric fry pan,pie irons and such. Better be safe than sorry and put in the storage room. Thanks everyone

Plates cups etc should be fine, but a fry pan is tough to get food smell out of and may draw mice. Any thing with rechargeable batteries should come out. Find oil of peppermint at an herb shop. Put several drops on cotton balls in a small glass container. Do not get oil on floor or other surfaces. You should replenish in abour 3 months. You might want to remove bedding just in case mice get in anyway as they will use thst for a nest.

We leave everything in unless it will spoil.

The typical winter overnight low in my garage is 45F.

Fall is when I do my big cleaning. Anywhere I can get at least one finger and a rag gets wiped down. That includes removing all drawers etc.

I prefer fall cleaning instead of spring cleaning because I will e able to take that first trip with only a moments notice in the spring.

We give it a good cleaning and remove all food and any liquids that would freeze.
I leave in pretty much everything else including small electronics like a toaster etc.
