Default Caprock Canyons State Park

Nesting orioles and road-runners made this a neat site to camp in. Needed the A/C during the day, though...

We saw our very first roadrunner perched on top of another RV at Sam's Family Spa in Desert Hot Springs, CA this past January. What state is this campground in?

Default Texas

I'm sorry, I should have said that. It's in the Texas panhandle.

Wink Giving TX the bird

If you want to see birds, the best places I've seen are near the border with Mexico from Brownsville to Roma. Texas has done a real good job of organizing sites where you can observe birds. They offer maps on the locations and there are RV parks near most them. Whenever I learn how to post pictures, I'll post some of mine from my recent trip to the Rio Grande valley.
