changing the shower valves

i want to change out my shower because i have a leak between the hot and cold water,i took all i can off but i cannot get to the valves how to do this,i dont want to tear up the faucet

The valves under the each, cold and hot faucet handles? On mine, you remove the plastic cap on the knob handle and remove it. The brass valves are right there under the handle. Same as kitchen sink and bathroom sink.

What year & model TM do you have? My 3326 has an access panel in the outside rear storage area, gives you a direct look at the lines going into the faucet. Changed the entire unit in about 20 minutes.

on my 2008 2720sd to access the valve I had to go through the rear access door, remove a small panel

On the street side rear section of my 2619 is an access panel. Inside of that panel is where you should see the connections for the tub faucet and the outdoor faucet lines. The pictures are what I see when I open up that panel. The nuts that hold the tub faucet just screw off and back on.
Now my tub faucet is on the corner, if you have an older model the faucet maybe on the wall. it's not the largest area to work, but it can be done. My biggest headache was needing some one to hold the new faucet in-place till I got the lines connected, after that it was pretty easy.

My 2006 2720SL does NOT have the access panel that several earlier posts refer to. Instead, there is a square box, about 2 inches deep and maybe 10 x 16 inches, on the wall just above and abutting the tub. This box is removable (you'll have to recaulk it when you put it back), and gives access to both the tub faucets and the outside shower plumbing.

As has been asked before, what year and model TM do you have?

The information in this forum is top-notch. I had planned to attempt to remove the cold water faucet stem in the shower because nothing came out of the cold water side. After reading this forum, I easily removed the shower faucet assembly, cleaned out the debris in the faucet stems, and replaced the assembly. No idea where the debris in the stems came from.

Was it white chunks? If so, it’s likely from the anode rod deteriorating in the water heater. No idea how it gets in the cold side but it gets everywhere.

Not sure what the debris was. It looked like some sort of plant matter. Didn't look too close.
