3124KS Privacy Curtain

I am considering ordering a new 3124KS.

Does the king bed have a privacy curtain on a 3124KS?

If not, are there any inputs on how this has been (or can be) done?

Bill- I have this model and, yes, it does have a privacy curtain.

One thing we added was a privacy curtain at the end of the bathroom walls that separate the back part of the TM from the kitchen and living area. As you know, the bathroom is not exactly spacious so this curtain allows one to simply keep the bathroom door open and still maintain privacy. Really helpful when you're dressing. We also lined the back three sides of the shower with a clear vinyl (attached with velcro) to eliminate having to surround oneself with shower curtains that make you claustrophobic in the shower. Two of our best mods I'd say.

Do you have any pictures of how this looks & works? I have also been wondering if I might be able to make something like this work. We used the shower for a week & it was comfortable but would be better if the curtain didn't close you in so much. Also do you still use the existing curtain for the entry or a modified version. I haven't looked at it yet very good but I know I don't want a water damage because of not using a shower curtain LOL.

We use just one shower curtain and secure it in the top corners with a small plastic closepin when using the shower. The curtain is simply tucked up over the water controls just enough to allow access.

Thanks for the response one more question have you noticed any build up of condensation behind the plastic?

Have not had any condensation problems. Then again we spend most our time in the southwest during the winter . . . very dry climate. The plastic on the back shower wall (next to the bed) wraps or overlaps the shell wall a few inches. That allows for some air flow behind the plastic. When the last person has showered, the plastic is wiped down with a microfiber cloth reducing the chance for moisture to condense behind the plastic. The plastic is replaced every season or sooner if warranted.

Thanks I actually had already been thinking of using a vinyl shower curtain liner for this purpose but may just use thick plastic like you did. I do have to deal with the wall mount for the shower head I noticed you have one that just goes over the plastic. My bracket is screwed to the wall.

I assume you are just using the existing curtain for the open entry side?

i need new curtains for my camper we bought it and everything looks great except the curtains are dry rotted if anyone knows of where you can buy them please let me know

When you fold up the bathroom, do you just fold the plastic in with the wall, take the plastic off, or do you do something more clever than what I can think of?

Yes, the existing (remaining) curtain is used to enclose the shower area.


Dave,

The plastic remains in place when the bathroom walls are collapsed. To make that a little easier try to tuck a natural "fold" of the plastic into the inside corner of the bathroom wall when installing the plastic.
