Default Ever been turned away from a campground ?

I was checking out Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort. I read that they don't allow popup campers. I was wondering if anybody was not allowed to camp because someone at a campground didn't know what a Trail Manor is. They kinda look like a popup when closed up. The Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort does state that only self contained rv's are allowed. So it shouldn't be a problem with a TM.

I've turned away from quite a few...

Maybe they don't want pop ups due to high winds.

we had that experience at Silver Strand state park in CA. last year, I had to show them the sewer connection/ aka dump valve and tell them it was self contained. I also tell people it is an expandable TRAVEL TRAILER just to ease their minds when making reservations by phone , I did have one rv resort look it up on youtube and that satisfied them.

My big problem with the 3023 is that a lot of California state campsites max out at 24 feet for a trailer, and the TM when open is obviously longer than that.

On a trip down to spring training last year, I called to stay at a place in Palm Desert, CA. I thought I would arrive after hours, but got there just before the office closed for the night. Towards the end of the check-in process, the lady asked if the camper sitting outside was mine and I said yes it was. She then told me for future reference that they didn't allow popups in their park. I informed her that it wasn't a pop-up, but she restated her comment. At that time, knowing it was late, I shut up and went to my parking location for the night.
The place was gorgeous and very high end with beautiful amenities, but they built it right next to the rail road tracks along I-10. So around midnight and again some time later the trains rolled past the park waking me and I'm sure others up. The next morning, all I could do was shake my head as another train rolled past, and blowing the whistle as to rolled on. So much for exclusive!

I've had that issue but I generally don't share the open length when making a reservation. With the 3124, I reserve a space for a 24...

As we know the front bed does not extend beyond the tongue and the rear only overhangs by 3 ft. So it's not touching the ground as you might need for a site minimum.

My 2720SL is just under 24' when open. Not a clue what the "27" means but 20' closed is about right.

A "normal" camper with a 24' box would be roughly 27' tongue to bumper. Because the front of a TM (bed or front slide) hangs over the tongue, they say it's equivalent to a normal camper that would measure 27' bumper to tongue.

Only thing I've heard about not allowing pop ups is in bear country....

Soft sides a bear will go right through.

But we are hard sided. So same as any regular camper.
