Default DW would like the armoire removed, part time

How difficult is this to remove and put back for those of you that have done this? She's looking for more counter space on our longer stays. I'm thinking it can be used without re-attaching the mounting hardware for our short trips, and leaving it home on the long ones. Plan on opening the TM tomorrow to take a look. Thanks

We took ours out as well. We just use duffle bags on the counter where it was, works better for us. I added a little piece of trim to cover up where it used to sit against the back wall.

I'm not familiar with the 2922, but if it is like the others, you can do this. Collapse the bathroom walls. Set up the wardrobe (armoire) and slide it into its normal spot. Then take a look at the end of the track nearest the bathroom. There is a screw driven through the end of the track which acts as a stop when you slide the wardrobe toward the bathroom. Remove this screw, and you can slide the wardrobe right past the aisle and right out of the end of the track. Put the screw back so you don't lose it, and you are good to go. Simple!

Default DW really loves it

Wow, that really "opens up" the TM at that end. The simplest mod so far. It reminds us of the Fleetwood Avalon that we traded-in. We can have the armoire or get rid of it too. Thanks for your input.

I took our's out 15 minutes after we got the new unit home from the dealer. Never looked back. We don't miss it a bit. We use that counter space to line up three flip-lid plastic boxes. One clothes box for me, one for DW and the third for dry food. On longer trips we use a second food box. We stack the boxes if we need to and it is easy to slide one box over to another box to get to the box we need.

Buy wait, there's more!

With that casket gone, you should see the room you have in the isle to store things like the water jugs, the Olympian grill and three flip-lid boxes full of the items to "be prepared".

Default Took ours out a long time ago

I removed our armoire when we purchased the TM several years ago. It is even a pain in the garage. Just sitting there taking up space.

After 8 weeks on the road and returning home, I decided to put ours back in. We are planning on a 5 month trip leaving in October and returning at the beginning of April. Should be interesting living in a 2720 for 5 months. You might find a closet sitting along the side of the road.
