Default Hanging Cabinets

Anybody know how much they weigh? Are they worth it or a pain?

Thanks.

They are light weight especially when empty. I love the two I have and I think they are worth the money. They get heavier depending what you put in them. I keep coffee, ceramic coffee mugs, disposable cups, paper plates, plastic ware, tin foil and saran wrap etc in one and dish towels, pot holders etc in the smaller one. I am able to hang them on the wall by myself.

I have considered buying another of the longer ones to hang on the wall by the sofa.

We use ours for paper goods so the empty weight doesn't increase much. Only takes a minute or two to setup/ take down

We have the one over the sink. It is worth it and a pain. I fairly regularly have to go through ours and do the "Nope, too heavy to be in here" and either remove items from the TM completely or move them to a different location.

We have both, and find them indispensable. I'd much rather reach for something at a normal height than have to bend down every time wanted something. We don't overload them, but there's no way DW could lift the sink one on or off the brackets; I just consider it part of the put up/tear down, and there are no issues.

Yeah they are worth it, and either are a pain or simple as can be. Either way keeping the stuff you put in them light makes them much easier to use...

I'll never forget the 1st time that I picked up our galley cabinet empty. I hit myself right in the chin with it........seriously....... I guess I expected it to weigh about as much as a kitchen cabinet from Home Depot. These cabinets are super light.

We have the galley cabinet and the L/R cabinet in this trailer:

Same answer for us! Ours came with one over the sink and we keep all of our paper goods and plastic plates and cups in it. Light enough that I can hang it myself w/o DH's help.

Question

Hello, I'm a newbe. I purchased a 2010 TM2720 and ordered the over-sink and over-stove cabinets from TM but installation instructions wasn't included in the delivery. Does anyone know the height, etc. the cabinets need to be hung. I emailed TM a week ago and haven't gotten a response so i called this afternoon but Eddie wasn't in at that time. I left a message. Hopefully I'll get a return call soon.

Late reply, but in case the factory didn't get back to you:

On my TM there is a thin (1" x 1/16th or so) molding strip that runs along the top of the kitchen walls. I mounted my brackets so the top of the bracket would be just under that molding strip.

Measure the hooks on the cabinet and that distance can be used as a guide on how far apart to mount the brackets on the wall. Distance = center of 1st bracket to center of 2nd bracket.
