Smile TM Tune Ups

When you take a TM to the factory for a "Tune Up" what all do they check? & Can this be accomplished at other places?

This question has been asked before and there doesn't seem to be a good answer. Some say the factory makes adjustments as needed others indicate it's an appliance inspection. Best to call and find out what they really do.

Default Tennessee TM Service

As we all know the Tennessee factory is closed. There is only a service facility now and it is located in Caryville, TN. I'll provide the address later.

For what it's worth, I had sent email to Ed at the factory before it closed.
The following is the reply I got from Ed in 2014. I am now scheduled for a
tune up later this month(May 2015) at the Caryville service facility. Todd now answers Ed's email and the phone.

===============
Factory Pre-Season Tune-Up Special

Schedule an appointment for TrailManor Manufacturing Company’s pre-season tune up special. Through the month of July, we are offering a discounted lift system tune up on all 2003* and above model years. This service includes the following:

• Inspection of all lift system components for wear or damage
• Adjustment of torsion bars if possible
• Clean torsion bars and apply a rust-inhibitor
• Latch adjustment
• Inspection and apply a dry lube on seals
• Corner jack lubrication
• Brake operational testing
• Brake and running lights testing
• LP system pressure testing

Normal charges for this service is over $400, but if you schedule an appointment before the end of July 2014, this service is only $298!

To take advantage of this rate, all work must be scheduled to complete by August 29, 2014. Availability is limited so don’t delay! (Sorry, no additional discounts apply)

Call today (423) 563-6685
Email: [email protected]

* Earlier model years may require additional time and cost.

====================
Todd quoted me $320 for our 2006 2720 SL.

I assume the same list of service actions will be done.

According to Google maps, satellite view, 160 Lake Lane is at the
intersection of Lake Lane and Hill Lane which is west of I-75 and south
of 25W and the Shoneys restaurant. Hope this helps.

Are they also going to be doing tune ups at the Nebraska location?

Thumbs up Followup on Tennessee TM Service

Todd was on vacation but Dickie and Dave took excellent care of us.
The most value from the tune up came from a safety check of the gas
lines. They found the main cut off valve for the Norcold Refrigerator was
leaking! Wow! We could have blown up!!!
Should have had this done long ago.
I handed them a long 'punch list' of things I wanted checked besides the
standard 'tune up' items. That added to the final bill; 2 hours at $90 per
hour labor. But it was all justified. The guys fixed so many things I didn't
even think of plus the things I requested. Also, some of the things I
asked for will be coming from the factory in Nebraska. Other things I will
have to fend for myself but that's ok. Overall, well worth the time and the
expense.
Don't put it off. Get it done. You won't regret it.
Send email to [email protected] to schedule your tune up at the
Tennessee service facility.
PS. don't believe the Travelodge website, the Travelodge on 116 does not
have a hot tub! and the breakfast is minimal at best. Thank goodness for
Waffle House just down the street.
