Default Replacing propane hoses

Hi fellow TMers I have a question about the propane hoses on my TM, a 2007 2720SL. We have owned it since June, & are about to take it out for the 2nd time. First trip to Colorado we found that we have a propane leak, & now need to fix that. We smelled the propane immediately upon opening the valve, so we're looking at replacing the hoses. However, the TM is open in the driveway & I don't want to try push in the slide by myself. Anyway, does anyone know offhand what length of propane hoses I need to replace all of the lines? I'm assuming I need 3 hoses- one for TM to regulator, and 2 for regulator to each tank. I have the dual horizontal tanks under the LR slideout on this TM. I've searched the technical pages & read Bill's propane primer, but there isn't any mention of hose lengths. Any advice on replacing the lines is appreciated - I am a noob & I know it.

Also, is there a good way to check the regulator for problems? Obviously don't want to replace it if I don't need to, but also don't want to get down to Eureka Springs on Friday & find out the hard (chilly) way that the regulator was shot. Thanks very much for any assistance you can provide to this new owner!!!

Ok, thank you! So the two tank to regulator hoses are 20 inches. Any idea on regulator to camper?

Best bet for the regulator to camper hose is to find a propane dealer that makes hoses.

Ugh. I don't think we have time for a custom hose job...

Any tips on testing out our regulator?

Custom hose can be made in a matter of minutes. We make hydraulic hoses where I work, it's easy if you have the equipment.

Are you having an issue with the regulator? Best way I can find to test it is to open both tanks, light the stove, then shut off the tank that the regulator is "pointing to". The indicator should turn red and the stove should stay lit as the regulator will switch from the closed (simulates empty) tank to the open (full backup) tank. Note the pointer does not flip to the second tank on its own. You'll need to flip it towards the other tank so the indicator is showing the correct tank (should turn green) or repeat this process but using the tanks in the opposite role.

I have replaced the two tank hoses and the regulator, but not the larger hose, it was still in good shape. The key with the regulator is whether it still switches tanks automatically. You will see this in operation, a pointer or color indicator changes when the first tank goes empty. You might be able to trigger it by shutting one tank valve. It has to work in both directions, so test both.

We don't use so much gas since switching to the cr-1110 fridge, and realizing that our water heater has both electric and gas. The switch was on the outside under the heater door, and partially obscured under a relief valve.

At least on my regulator, the indicator doesn't flip when the regulator switches from one tank to the other. The regulator flow indicator turns red, showing the tank that is "pointed to" is empty so you know to fill that tank. The regulator has switched to the new tank internally. Fill and install the empty tank, then flip the pointer to the tank that is supplying propane. The indicator turns green.
