Adios TrailManor
After six years in TMs (three each in a 2619 and 2720SL), including three cross countries, my wife and I have left the building, trading the SL on a conventional travel trailer: a 24' Jayco White Hawk. We are besides ourselves!
We live in the west (Las Vegas) and heat is the enemy. Our TM handled it fairly well but traveling east we could not take the humidity. The TM simply has too many air leaks and we just couldn't get comfortable.
When you throw in the set up and tear down projects, the cramped and uncomfortable bed, lack of storage, and the recirc toilet it just what we wanted for extended travel: anywhere from two weeks to three months. I also didn't care for the single axle/tire configuration.
The TrailManor is the perfect RV for certain people, and when we used it on weekends we loved it. I like "different" and the TM fills the bill to a tee. The only time we didn't have an audience was when we attended a TM rally! I told everybody that it's perfect for towing and not so much for living in, then it dawned on me that my priorities were bass ackwards. Moving to the Jayco is like going from a tent to a hotel room.
For all the TrailManor folks out there, I salute you. I will always miss the 16mpg I got with my Tundra, never mind the ease of parking and backing, but we have moved on.
Cheers!
Steve & Jola

Definitely has its strong points, congrats! Is it like this http://www.rvtrader.com/listing/2016...4MBH-119201894
We'll miss the giant fridge/freezer in our Kodiak, probably get a 12V fridge to remedy the loss in the TM and put it in the 4Runner.
What we liked about the TM (aside from the size and towability) is the many windows, we like a lot of natural light and don't like the closed in feel of many RV's.
Happy travels!

I love laying in bed looking out the window of my TM gazing at the stars on a clear night, or having the window open for some fresh air.

I'm with you about the windows, and the rest. I don't feel comfortable unless I have a lot of natural lighting, natural ventilation, and visibility on all sides.
Having 12 windows spread around on all four sides is a wonderful thing.

Interesting that the air leaks were a problem for them when camping in hot and humid places. IMO the largest air leak was under the Norcold refrigerator. When I replaced mine with the Dometic CR-1110, I sealed the air leaks and put sheets of foam on all four sides of the 'fridge. There are remaining leaks, but probably none so bad as that one.
