Default Refrigerator

We have a 2005 2720 and have had serious problems with the refrigerator when it runs on propane. Our mechanic is Trailmanor certified(previously he was the mechanic at RV Show in Colorado Springs, CO) he has replaced the thermo coupler and a couple sensors. Now he is going to replace the regulator. Has anyone experienced issues with LP. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I was also experiencing a problem with the refrigerator on propane. Replacing the thermocouple and interrupter did not correct the issue. In my case, the flame would not stay lit. It turned out to be a rusted burner. I replaced the burner and that solved the problem. The refrigerator stays on once lit. I also noted the size of the flame is reduced as you dial the temperature setting to a lower number.

Several years ago, Norcold issued a Service Bulletin for the refrigerator. Some people refer to it as a recall, though you don't have to take the refrig anywhere, and a Search of this forum using that word will turn it up.

On the back of the unit's function switch (Battery - Electric -Gas - Off) there are a bunch of wires on slip-on connectors. One of these wires may not make good connection to its mating tab, and failure of the propane burner to stay lit is the symptom. If you contact Norcold, they will send you a new wire, but since you have to pull the refrig out from under the counter to install it, it is just as easy to remove the wire, crimp it a bit with pliers, and re-install it.
