Default Slide outs? Year added?

I think I saw some models with slide outs. That would really help our space issue. Does anyone know what year they began and what models?

My 2001 has the slide. I'd highly recommend looking at the early 2000's as many of them now had aluminum framed walls instead of wood. Pre-2000 were mostly wood framed.

When you think of a slideout, are you thinking of something that slides out of the side of the trailer? To the best of my knowledge, no TM has a side-slide. The SL and SD models have a slide that pulls out the front. The SL models (now called QS) have a couch on the slide. The SD models (now called QD) have a dinette on the slide. But unless someone shows me a picture, I've never seen or heard of a side slide.

You might check the Trail Manor web site. They have floor plans for every model.

Although cool, THIS would take some pretty amazing engineering. Probably not impossible, but probably not profitable.

(Imagine a 100,000 2720 SSD (side slide dinette)?)
