Nylon latch - Don't Know What It's Called
I need replacements for the white nylon-like butterfly "latches" that holds the door open against closing (or closed when traveling) and are also used at the rear of the TM to keep the cover closed where the waste water hoses and shore electrical cord are stored. I have been to several RV stores, Lowe's, and called a TM dealer who told me to either call the TM factory or search their catalog--not very helpful--because I don't know what these are called. Can anyone help? Thanks. David

Correction
This "latch" only holds the door closed. Sorry for the confusion in my original post. David

Both our local Lowes & Orchard Supply hardware stores carry these. Look there first.

I ordered the ones on ebay from magseven696 and they were way too small and looked like they'd break easily. I sent them back, but had to pay return shipping.
This guy needs to quit trying to pass these off as TM-compatible!

Randy -
I imagine you know this, but ...
Is there any of the screw shaft protruding out of the hole? If so, Vise-grips may do the job. Or use a hacksaw to cut a slot in the stub, then use a hefty screwdriver. Or, as a motorcycle guy, you probably have an impact wrench in your toolbox. Penetrating oil will help, of course.
To back out a screw if there is nothing protruding, you normally need a screw extractor or a left-handed drill bit (Harbor Freight has both, BTW). In this case, I don't think you have to back it out. I think you could drill a hole in the screw shaft, insert another smaller screw, and screw it inward so the new screw cuts its own threads into the body of the old screw. Now you can continue to drive the pair of screws forward, through the bumper material, and right out the other side.
Just some thoughts - I've done 'em all. Have fun.
Bill
