Glad it is of use. This one for rec.gov will give your directions and gps coords. from the center of a state. It only covers federal CG's that take reservations.

I dont like the new format as well but it still works good.

I just took a quick look at this for Freeport, Fl. I noticed that it thinks Micanopy is one of the nearest towns at 18.15 miles! There is a definite glitch there.

Only a minor drive of a few hours from Freeport to Micanopy. I found Rec.gov wrong once; had the CG in Canada instead of WI. But then WI likes to hide their CG's.

Default Indiana State Forests

Here is a link, more of a starting point really, to find camping in Indiana SF.
This is for dry camping, what they call class C.

http://www.in.gov/dnr/forestry/3631.htm

The one I checked out by address was no where near the actual CG.
After clicking on the green dot and the small window opens click on directions and it opens Google Maps with location coords. Copy and paste these into your mapping software and verify in Google Earth

Have fun

We really like this site, and it has a lot of the campgrounds in the system. We decide where we are going to camp (usually a web search or recreation.gov), and then we search this site, as it has great photos of each site.

www.campsitephotos.com

Bill & Scubjaysnest - Thanks for noting this below, I appreciate the 'back-up', I've corrected the link above also, so it should work correctly now.

Thanks for the link fourteener, I got an ooops! page not found when I clicked on it but did get to part of their site and was able to navigate around it.

I get the OOPS page, too, but I found that if I enter site through "the front door" (in other words, www.campsitephotos.com), it works fine.
