Not uncommon down here. A lot of parks have semi-permanent "park models" for seasonal renters or owners. Usually one to two bedroom mini-houses for snowbirds who return every year. Even our KOA just up the road has some.

Which reminds me, you might want to check the KOA site for the park probably called Myakka River something. Place isn't real big but may have space.

My IL's use to do the snowbird thing. I'm kind-of trying to stay away from snowbird parks. I can see the GK's having having good camping memories.
