I posted a poll along the same lines a while back. It will be interesting to see how, if any, TM ownership ages have changed.

I voted in the poll. And, I'm 60. I think fortunately being 6ft tall helps me with lifting the shells by myself. The front one sometimes takes me two tries, but I've always been able to lift it. This is my first travel trailer. I chose the TM because of being able to store it in one of my garage bays and because of the ease in towing. My preference would actually be to have a Lance or something similar that I didn't have to set up and take down, but then I'd have to build some kind of storage for it...so, there are trade-offs.

I'm 36, my husband is 38. The Trailmanor is our first RV, although I've been trailer camping with my parents since I was 14 (still go with them in their RV with my kids on trips) and my husband's family had a pop-up when he was a kid.

We chose our 3023 for a few reasons. We live in a housing development with an HOA that forbids RVs, etc in driveways or yards and with a swing-away hitch, we're able to hide our trailer away in our garage. We have two little kids (rowdy boys!), so having the beds on the ends works great for us, and with the dining table up, the kids have room to play Legos, trains, etc. I've been considering other RV options for about 6 years, but few were a reasonable size with two dedicated beds. We have a huge truck we tow with now, but I'm in the market for a new car and will find something that I can tow our TM with so I can take the kids on camping trips myself.

I'm 5'4" and haven't successfully managed to set up the TM myself. Our shells seem too heavy, although every time I've tried, someone has jumped in to help me lift them, so I'm not 100% sure I can't do it myself. We probably need to adjust the bars or grease it or something.

Is there a way to view the detailed poll results? Curious who the other is in the 26-25 range with me!

I'm think that this is a private poll, from my recollection when you set up the poll it asks whether or not you want the responses to be private.

Certainly do have some beautiful pictures posted. We are leaving in a couple of weeks headed to New England, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. However, we are not pulling out trailmanor (2720SL).

My husband and I are 67 and 63 and enjoy camping! We started out tent camping in 1995 ,bought an Aliner in 2007 ,( sold in Jan 2013),then moved to the Trailmanor in November 2012. We needed more room for longer trips and also needed a bathroom , we love it and enjoy the ease of traveling without worrying about gas mileage! We keep it stored at home ,we believe the trade offs compared to a conventional trailer are worth every bit of it !

I did vote. "Then" is correct. Actually my first camper was a VW Westphalia (sleeps two friendly adults, one not so friendly adult, one midget), a Bethany Teepee, a LittleGuy teardrop, and the Vixen RV before the TM. For a while the Teardrop was a "second bedroom" for the Vixen.

After two years think the only trade I would make would be for a 2922SD.
