Default Freshwater leak in 10+ yr old 3023

Hi
I have a 15 year old 3023 and while checking it out recently discovered that I have a leak in the freshwater supply underneath the kitchen sink. This area (in case it's moved in later models) is where the water heater is stored. So there's a variety of junctions in that general area and it looks like it's either leaking in multiple junctions OR it's merely leaking around the hot water heater itself (with the leaks snaking along the surfaces till the drops fall off further away).

I'm curious about how I should go about fixing this. My local TM supplier doesn't sell or service them anymore and I'd rather fix it myself anyway. I'm considering removing the water heater, but I'm not sure I'll have that much easier access to ALL the junctions. But I don't see another way to get access to that area.

Thanks

Mike

Mike,

The only way to really SEE (as opposed to stick your arm in there) is to remove the water heater. Please see my instructions on how to do that. http://www.trailmanorowners.com/foru...ad.php?t=15311

Oops! Just noticed that you may not be a member. In which case you probably won't be able to open the link. $12 per year. Best money you'll ever spend while you own a TM.

Thanks... I was a member... it's a great forum, but I find my use for it to be bursty... which matches my current trailmanor usage. Anyway, I was able to access that link, so thanks!

Default Returning Member

As I mentioned above, I used to be a member but let it lapse. Now I find myself in need of the great value this forum has again, but ... in my current status I think I have fewer permissions than I did when I was an unknown.

Specifically I can not see the forums behind the "paywall" so I'm flying blind as to exactly how much value I'll get out of it. One thread pointed to a "plumbing forum" but I could not open that link and see what is available.

It occurs to me that the plumbing forum might be really useful for my current issue and if it wasn't for that link I would not even know that this board has one.

Is there a way for "returning users" like me to see what's available BEFORE I pay again? (Short of creating a dummy account that is.)

THANKS

Mike
