To fill the water heater (remember it takes 6 gallons), you need a supply of pressurized water. Either "shore water", meaning a hose. Or put water in the fresh water tank and turn on the pump. Once your water supply is hooked up, just turn on the hot water faucet in the kitchen sink. There will be a bunch of hissing and gurgling, then some spitting, and finally a solid stream of water. Now the tank is full, and you may turn on the heater.
