Replace with Compressor Refrigerator

Has anyone replaced their RV refrigerator with a regular refrigerator? I had a 5th wheel that I replaced the RV refrigerator with a small 10 cf compressor refrigerator. I worked fine. If you did, please give details.

It will work fine for short trips and at CS with elec. I would not buy a camper with a none RV fridge, unless I was getting a great deal and the price would justify the cost to buy an RV fridge. There is no way to cool the fridge on the road or when dry camping.

Small one will need 40-50W and inverters are cheap. My Vixen has dual GC2 batteries & inverter/charger and has no problem running a compressor fridge. One for an RV will probably be lower power (20-30W) and run on 12V but will cost a lot more.
