Default Question on Using Smart Charger

I would like to use my smart charger to maximize the charging of my 2 6v batteries. Without plugging into the camp site A/C and using the WFCO to charge the batteries, in the past, I have used the smart charger by connecting onto the + terminal (fused lead) of 1 battery and the - of the other battery. This works fine. But, it is hot here in southern CA and I would like to continue using the A/C while I use the smart charger. My question is, how can I prevent the WFCO from charging while I charge with my smart charger. My reason for doing this is the WFCO does not charge the last 10% (??) or so, as I have been told. So, if I disconnect the fused lead to the + terminal of 1 battery, will this disconnect the WFCO charger and allow me to connect the smart charger to the same + terminal and the other to the - terminal of the other battery as I have connected in the past? I think it's ok but I don't want to cause any problems.

A/C alternating current or air conditioner ?

If you disconnect the batteries from the WFO, it will not try to charge. Can connect to shore power and run the air con while chargng

Padgett, thanks for the reply. Yes, I am talking about shore power running the air conditioner while using a smart charger. So, just to confirm, if I remove (disconnect) the fused lead to the + terminal then this disables the DC side of the WFCO converter. I can then charge the batteries with the smart charger and nothing is affected, right?

Correct. Or don't bother disconnecting. The WFO and my solar system play together nicely.
