Question How much longer will you own your TrailManor?

In correlation with: http://www.trailmanorowners.com/foru...ad.php?t=16488

How long will I own the TM?

One more day!

I have been very satisfied with my ownership experience of my TM and I have no regrets.

I even like the people on this forum, many of whom have given invaluable advice about the TM and modifications to make the TM an even better travel trailer. For over two years I have owned a full size SUV/truck and I am no longer limited to the TM as my TT. I am sure to miss the small sail and low profile when I hit I-90 in SoDak.

The mods/repairs that I can remember that I would not have known otherwise:

1. The wardrobe hinge
2. The bathroom hinge
3. Cage/shield for the sewer valves.
4. Awning cleat replacement
5. "D" rated 14" tires
6. Steel valve stems
7. WDH setup
8. Bill's screen door (I didn't do it)

But the time has come to move on to another product that will satisfy my needs.

I will continue to lurk and offer to help in my own way.

Thank you to every contributor who has helped (too numerous to single out) y'all know who you are, kudos.

Good luck with your new trailer. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I intend to have my TM for at least ten more years and hopefully a lot longer. I plan to retire in ten years and my plan is to camp all summer long, maybe do some traveling. Will probably travel with the TM because I will always have a dog, and that is just the most convenient. Plus, I just like having "my stuff".

Yes I would love to be able to just walk into my trailer at any time and not to do the set up procedures of the TM.

But I don't want or need a larger tow vehicle and I refuse to pay for storage so whatever I have must fit in my garage. Unless I move and build a new house with a huge tall garage- unlikely - then I won't even consider an upright. I have no issues towing or backing my TM but honestly a giant full size trailer I think would scare me a bit.

I always thought that a fifth wheel would be a good option, better for towing etc, but I don't want to drive a truck so that is kind of out. But who knows in ten years........

So I hope TM stays in business and continues to improve the product. Then maybe I can buy another one ten years from now. In the meantime I will keep mine up as best as I can because I love it.

mine is a 1994, so pretty much as long as it holds out and my body does for the lifting, pulling, pushing, twisting.
We got the TM for longer trips, like to winter part of the winter in Florida and still have room to move.
I have a popup and a Cabin A TT for the shorter trips.

We plan to keep ours as long as we can maintain it. Now that our son is grown and does not go with us all the time, we could "downsize"...but a paid for camper is my favorite kind. Especially if it's a TM.

Best answer is until I don't. Given the amount of tinkering I've done making it completely self contained it is liable to be a while. About the only thing I'd move to is a 2922KD and those do not appear very often.

We plan to keep it a long time, love the form factor and towing is so easy. Little by little I am doing some remodeling to make it as new and updated as possible.

We also plan to keep this one as long as it can keep going ie the trailer, our bodies/health, and our desire to take camping trips. Our trailmanor fits us perfectly.
