Default Anybody here use their TM for "tailgating" at college football games?

Auburn University is my alma mater (dh's, too). He is a huge Auburn football fan. It's kind of a big deal here in Alabama. The RVs start rolling into Auburn on the Thursday before a game and camp there (in various designated places around campus) until Sunday. This is probably the main reason my husband will buy me a camper. Anybody else camp for football games? It would involve buying a generator...

You may have seen the cute little marketing video on the TM web site, where parents take 4 or 5 high school girls to soccer games, and they live in the TM. Not quite what you asked about, but quite similar.

If you need a generator (and in Alabama I assume you do) be sure you read Padgett's generator discussions in detail.

I can guarantee that if you have AC in the tailgater area on a hot day you will find friends you never knew you had.

Games, auctions, races are all essentially dry camping and usually with no generator restrictions. The AC does need a simple wiring modification to add a soft start unit (different from a hard start capacitor) to the roof unit. Took me about a half hour the first time) to be able to run from a liftable (2K class) generator.

More than you ever wanted to know can be found here.

ps when I look for something I study every aspect and sometimes my selections seem odd. But they work.
