Default Larger propane tanks?

I've recently purchased a 2001 2720, although I won't actually see it for a while yet.

I'm curious as to whether there is enough opening/closing clearance to replace the 20lb propane tanks with 30lb tanks. I previously had a 31' Hi-Lo, and found that it was nice to have the extra capacity for heating during fall trips.

In this thread

OrangeKid described his tongue-mounted 3.5 KW generator setup.
He posted several good pictures at

As he confirmed in a later post, those are 30-pound tanks in the picture. Perhaps he can supply more detail if you need it.

I, too, have the propane generator and the larger propane tanks. It's very nice not to have to refill as often. I don't have to run the generator often, so the gas goes farther.
