Venice, FL area campgrounds

We would like to find a decent campground near Venice, FL. There are some state parks but they seem booked up for Jan/Feb in 2009.

Any suggestions esp. places to avoid?

We just stayed in www.floridastateparks.org/oscarscherer/default.cfm and had a great time. State Park is clean and well run. It has many sites that are shady and level, but stay away from number 19 it is shady but in no means level. There is a creek that runs through the park and a small lake.
