First real trip in the new (to us) TV
After towing the TM with a Honda Pilot for three years we upgraded our towing capacity with a Ford Excursion 7.3 diesel, 4WD.
Plenty of room for all the dogs and hunting gear.
And a rainbow in South Dakota.

Looking at your pics reminds me, again, of why I like my TM - low-profile.
I have a smaller trailer, and a smaller diesel TV, but I sure do like the combination! Easy to tow.

MPG Difference

Same trip three years ago.
Pilot:
Best MPG w/ Pilot 15.0 mpg
Worst MPG w/ Pilot 8.9 MPG
Excursion:
Best MPG w/ Excursion 17.1 MPG
Worst MPG w/ Excursion 12.9 MPG
Now the differences:
More overall weight in the TV and TM with Excursion
Wind from the West in 2010 was more fierce and direct.

We set the cruise at a couple mph over the limit and drove. A 44 gallon tank means you do not stop very often for fuel.

Took a drive to view a quail plantation in S. GA a week ago.
Some pictures of the TV and TM, my co-pilots, the grounds, and a punctured tire.
A short video leaving the grounds. http://vimeo.com/104239505
