Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campsites

I'd love to take my family to Walt Disney World and camp at Fort Wilderness as part of my dream east coast them park trip. But that would have to be about a 2-3 week trip and I don't foresee us having that kind of vacation time available for quite a while! Not to mention it would have to be in the summertime as the boy is in grade school, and WDW is not ideal in the summer heat.

We have reservations to go this spring to Fort Wilderness campground at Walt Disney World, and I wanted to know what your experience was like? How was your campsite? And I am curious if you felt you needed to have bikes or golf cart to get around the campsite since it's so big? Any other tips or suggestions are welcome ... and from anyone else who has been to Ft. Wilderness would be great.
