Wink VA Inspection Requirements

See http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp...+19VAC30-70-10.

This link provides all of the Virginia State Police inspection requirements. Clicking "Next" at the bottom of each page will take you to the next inspection requirement.

In particular, I noticed that "if backup lights are installed, they must be inspected," and safety chains are inspected for condition, as well as proper installation.

This information should be helpful to those Virginians who want to be sure there TrailManors (and other trailers) will pass state inspections.

Interesting, I wonder if other states have trailer inspections? To my knowledge Fl doesn't.

FL only requires a VIN verification if the trailer was previously titled in another state. You can ask for a courtesy VIN verification from your sheriff's office or I believe a notary. Trailers under 2000 pounds are not titled they just get a plate.

MD has a trailer inspection program. Look under "Certificate of Inspection" section at http://www.mva.maryland.gov/Vehicle-...G/titlereg.htm

Pennsylvania has an annual inspection, although it is not very comprehensive.
Inspectors pull one wheel from each axle, checks lights, chains etc.
It's the easiest $45-50 RV service makes.
