Default Mattress

Greetings everyone, I am looking to replace the current (stock) mattress in my 2720SL. I have been reading prior threads where the mattress height might be an issue when closing. I’m looking at a queen size mattress from walmart that is 8 inches in height. Any recommendations or advise? I have been using an air mattress but I really want to switch to a solid inner spring mattress.

You might not want a traditionally constructed mattress, i.e. one that is not solid foam. Reason being is that I think a solid foam mattress is much less resistant to absorbing moisture, which over time, can lead to mildew. Just a thought anyway.

If you want to test the mattress max height close the rear shell with the mattress out. Climb in over the front and crawl back and check the height. I bet 8 inchs is to thick.

The stock TM mattress is 4" deep. I don't think there is any way that an 8" mattress will allow the top shell to close, even with some adjustments to the latch.

The usual queen mattress is 60x80. TM's is 60x78.
