Default No Running Lights

Help! We just came back from a weekender and someone stopped us to let us know that we did not have Running Lights period. We normally travel by day and hadnt noticed including when we just went on a 3 week trip this past summer to MN from FL...go figure. My husband is an electrician and after some search, he found that there is no continuity to the lights in fact we suspect that they were never hooked up cuz the bulbs appear to be brand new. He has looked at the schematics both Trail Manor, Bargmans, and one from Bill"s tech stuff. None are helping.
Here is the deal...no continuity from the wiring hookups under the sink to the running lights. It is an open circuit.
Has anyone experienced this?
If so....how to fix???
Thx!

Default clearance/tail lights

This is where I found the problem and how I fixed it. TM had used the wrong size bullet connectors for the wire size on ours.

There is also a common ground point on the frame near the plumbing that I found a lot of corrosion.

Default Thx

Thx Srubjay....gave a copy of the post to DH....he did say that all the other lights do work (its why we didnt catch this last year) just not the running lights and also does not think it has to do with a grounding problem but a hot wire or supposedly hot wire. He will check out what you posted at the camper tomorrow.

I suppose I should ask just how far the running-light power penetrates into the TM? In other words, does it make it to the car half of the Bargman? If so, does it make it through trailer half of the Bargman? You can check this right where the big black 7-wire cable from the Bargman comes up through the floor behind the refrig. Check this at a point before any connectors. Also confirrm at this point that the ground wire in the cable from the Bargman is solidly connected to trailer ground - i.e., the trailer skin. If that is good, check it at the butt connectors that ScrubJaysNest described - first the upstream half of the connector, then the downstream half. If power makes it through both halves of the connector but does not show up at any of the light fixtures, then the problem gets a lot more complicated since the wires are buried in the wall and roof structure. I assume you have a schematic for the system.

Bill....was hoping to hear from you He had already checked all of the above and yes of course it is the more complicated route that we need to go....is there a schematic for were the wires actually run throughout the whole camper not just the bargman and basic TM schematics? Do you have any idea where to chk next....I'm hoping you, my wise friend, do????

My approach to this problem has become quite lengthy, so rather than clutter up the forum, I have sent it via PM.

So what happened? Did you find the problem? Is all well now? Fill us in on what you found.
