Default Do you prefer to cook inside or outside?

Since up till now I've only tent camped, all of the cooking has been done outside--either on a grill, campfire, or Coleman stove. I have a really nice "camp kitchen" set up from Cabela's. I really think that even when we get the camper, I will still want an outside kitchen set up. Would that be weird? And I would love to know how/where you store food--to keep critters out. We've never had any trouble while tent camping using rubbermaid bins and coolers. We even leave them outside. I know we can't do this if we camp where there are bears...

I camp with friends and normally we end up cooking outside. Ya just can't be near the fire pit and have lots of folks chatting away in my camper. Now When we've camped and the temps get low, we do come inside to eat and stay warm. We'll then go back out and sit near a big fire before calling it a night.
My feelings are what ever feels right is what you should do.

We do both, inside cooking and outside cooking , if on the beach I like to set up the coleman stove on picnic table and do it there. We also use the oven for morning hot biscuits and the stove burners come in handy too in bad weather

Default Depends on the trip

My two weeks in July is spent camping with my sister and we tend to do a lot of grilling out and it's mores of a full meal.

When I go for two weeks in August by my self then I typically cook inside unless I am roasting brat or cheddar wurst over the campfire. When by myself I keep it pretty simple. Eat when I want etc.

And of course if it's cold or wet then we cook inside.

I have always cooked inside my camper even with my old pop up. I have yet to try the oven....don't know why but for some reason that scares me.

I'm pretty excited about being about to make biscuits. The TM we are looking at tomorrow has an oven. How does yours cook? Even? uneven? Do you use it for anything else?

I hope it's not too scary for me--I plan on making good use of it!

I cook most things inside, just like at home. I also take my cast iron hibachi to grill meats. The oven is not scary at all, after the first use it is like the old ovens where you use a match to light it. I find I can cook just like I do at home, that was one of the reasons I bought a TM. Next trip I am taking my Kitchenaid so I can make bread. On our first trip that was what I missed the most, can't find good breads.

I've used my oven numerous times without any issues. I also bought a very long lighter that makes lighting it very easy. Camco sells a couple that are 20" long. Best money I spent.

The oven temp is actually pretty accurate , it runs about 5 degrees on the warm side. I have also made mac n cheese in the oven plus baked potato but on the potatoes we microwave them for a few min. first then in rinsed sprinkle sea salt on them wrap in foil and off to the oven for 20 min. perfect potato

Outside, but depends on weather. I use a coleman propane stove and weber grill.

Oven does well for baking. You need smaller pans. Ours is about 15 degrees off, but I believe there is a way to adjust the oven thermostat.
