Question Cleaning the back roof during take down

What are the best tools you have found for cleaning leaves, debris etc off the top of the back roof when taking down the camper?
I've tried standard brooms but the angle is not right as I end up cleaning with the edge and not the end. I think the ideal would be a long bristle brush like a push broom with the handle attachment on the end instead of the middle, but I have yet to find such a thing. Something that is collapsible and/or can be disassembled would be even better, as we don't have a lot of space to spare.

I use an extendable paint roller pole with an 8" auto windshield squeegee on it. The paint pole has a threaded end that fits perfectly in the squeegee head. It is light and cleans debris and water off the back roof as well as the awning prior to roll up. Squeegee has rubber blade on one side and sponge on other side.

Default roof cleaning

I use a 10 inch wide brush with extendable handle and have changed from a two step stool to a 4 foot ladder.
Close the rear shell but don't latch, on ours this leaves the shell tipped back.
Push in the front slide.
use the brush starting in middle while standing under the front shell then move outside with ladder and due the edges. You may need to add some kind of sponge attachment for wet climes.
Latch the rear shell when done.
Much easier then doing the canvas on a pop-up.

We use a car-wash brush and a detachable, telescoping handle. The angle is perfect for brushing off the roof.

Rubber broom/squeegee on extending handle, "as seen on tv". I store it in the front hatch, very lightweight, works great.

I bought a 24" wide soft bristle push broom from "Smart & Final" for sweeping the garage floor. The bristles are very soft and it works great for scrubbing the entire camper. With the front roof up, I stand on the tongue and use the push broom on the entire rear roof. Then we close the front roof and use it on the rest of the trailer.

If you do this, be sure to cover the wing nuts on the bottom of the broom so they don't scratch anything.

I use a mop handle with a towel wrapped around it to dry the roof. Some of these sound a lot better.

Thanks for the input, it sounds like my technique may have been the problem I have been trying to do the sweeping from the outside and through the door. It sounds like most of you stand on the tongue and work from the front, which works better with the standard center mount pole attachment on most brushes and squeegees.

So far we use nothing while camping. We just close the two sides & nothing seems to get in.

Now when we had snow we just used our large step stool to remove what we could with a broom handle.

Why not take a telescopic handle & then mount a push broom or Pro style glass squeegee head depending on the debree to be removed on it side ways instead of the normal way? Then you could reach it & if you needed more angle you could also get a telescopic pole that also has a articulating end

Billy,

That's been the problem for me so far, I haven't been able to find a broom head that can be mounted sideways. I have seen the little collapsible RV brooms with the swivel head on Amazon, but from the comments they don't seem very sturdy.
