I installed the front receiver hitch today for my bike rack.
I gotta say it works great, I did remove the seats and the rear saddle bags we had on them, but those are easy to re-install.

Took it on the highway to see how it feels and the view, and if a highway patrol would pull me over. passed one Highway patrol, he looked but thats about all . it handled the same , and really does not block your view, it does seem weird at first. It is a little scary seeing them rock a bit while in motion , when in the rear it's like out of sight out of mind kinda thing, I got out to chk on them twice as it seemed like they would fall any minute but all was good just a little play in the pin.

That is very cool, I like that. I wish I had seen it before I bought the hitch as I think a receiver could easily be welded , probably how you did yours right at the tongue and then just slip in the bike rack secured with a pin or lock.

I might have to rethink this LOL thanks

Sweet...many permutations for hauling bikes with TT.

The factory 150# receiver hitch on the back of the TM allows us to transfer the same "every day" bike rack from the back of the TM to the SUV receiver & transport/travel to and from a distant trailhead.
Front receiver hitch didn't appear to be easy solution on either of our SUV tow vehicles (bumper/grill/adaptive cruise control seeing eye sensor).

I forr many years had a front bike rack that bolted around the front bumper. Never had any issues, except a lot of bugs on the bikes and at night there was a little glare coming off the bikes as the head light shined through them.

Is craigrr's setup not how the front rack would usually look? Those bikes are setting a lot higher than I had imagined... Still like eddugo's setup!
