Default National Forest Pine Sap-uggg!

I camp in Colorado National Forest campgrounds a great deal in the summer. We live in a forest as well. This year the sticky yellow pine tree sap has been particularly bad on roof & down the sides. Can't get it off w/any conventional household cleaners I have. This is probably not an uncommon problem. I know lacquer thinner will cut it as well as the painted surfaces. This I have proven. Any & all product suggestion greatly appreciated.

I'm from New England. I used rubbing alcohol to get white pine pitch off my TM. Don't know if it will work for yellow pine. I tried a small test spot. It has been at least five years since I used the rubbing alcohol and the paint finish is fine. After I removed the pitch, I finished with a coat of wax.

Default cleners

Try Greased Lightning. I use it a lot on our TrailManor to clean it. Then, I use Protect All to give it a nice waxed finish. Both can be bought at WalMart. The Greased Lightning is in the household cleaner section. The Protect All is back with the RV supplies.

I'll 2nd the bug and tar remover.

Tried the Camco RV Bug and Tar remover today. DID NOT WORK!! Had some old Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover and that did OK but the thing that did the best on the tar was WD40.

Default Orange Power Spray

Menards has some stuff called Orange Power Spray that removes black streaks, bugs, tree sap, oil, and just about anything else you might get on your TM. It costs $1.99 a quart and works almost instantly with no ill effects to the TM shell. Spray, wipe, rinse, and smile.
