Default Tow a Motorcycle?

I'd like to carry a lightweight dirt bike with me. Weight would be around 150 Lbs.

My 2720SL has the 2" rear receiver option included. It's rated (I think) @ 100Lbs. Right now I have a couple bicycles on it.

Is there any way I can carry the small motorcycle?

I did not know I was breaking the rules but... I carry a 90 lbs generator and 80 lbs of fuel (2-5 gal. jugs) on the back of mine on a hitch mounted cargo carrier. (another 40 lbs).

I have not found it to change the dynamics of towing.

The factory installed hitch receiver on the back of my 2005 TM 2720 clearly states that the max load is 100 pounds and can not be used to tow anything.

As soon as I figure out how to get both an ATV and a motorcycle into the back of my TV I'll purchase them.

It is on the receiver somewhere? I will look around.

What would be the different if you have 200 pounds of solar panels on the back roof ?????????? or 200 pounds on the rear hitch????????? The hitch is bolted to the frame!

Think "moment of inertia".

I believe the formula is weight (mass) times the distance behind the rear axle. Physics class was sooo long ago.

Also, anything suspended from the rear receiver will likely "wiggle". This wiggle can cause harmonic oscillations, which can cause sway.

Perhaps a visit to a public scale can confirm the affects of your WDH? I have found the "CAT" scales to be easy to find and use in CA.
