Looking for ideas for South East

It is time to start planning the annual summer excursion, and it looks like I won the where are we going this year game. Looking for ideas for Tennesse, North-South Carolinas, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio areas. Time frame about 17 days, and we tend to do a great loop to get us back home. Where are some great places to go (must see or do), camp grounds etc. We usually will stop along the way to do the visiting and sight seeing and move on. Last years Texas trip was great - could have used some more time at the coast, but so it goes. One teen and one-preteen so it has to have some excitement. Thanks
