We just bought our third edition. We have used it for at least 4 years and it has been really good to use. If you have a membership, there is a 10% discount at Good Sam's member Campgrounds. Each campground is rated and we find that to be very consistent.

We also use Corp of Engineers Campgrounds and have never been disappointed.
We quit buying the directory because it got to big to handle. Needs to be two volumes and their by town layout means sometimes you miss a CG because they placed it near a different town then you or I would use to locate by.

While working on our Dec trip to AZ went to my ACOE link and it's no longer valid and they don't link you to the new one; just tell ya to update your links.

I found another site for researching places to visit and camp. Worth checking out!

The Southwest states I buy the DeLorme Gazetteer for each state and look for BLM land to camp on. National Forest maps are a nice resource.

I found another useful site that lets you see pictures of campsites. Don’t know how comprehensive it might be but I am adding it to using google earth to help find the best spot for me.

Thanks for adding that one, it works pretty good. Our daughter gave us that one and I forgot to add it.

Always used the Delorme in that past but for the western states the Benchmark series gives more information for about the same price. Garmin bought out Delorme so don't know if they will keep the Gazetteer or not.
