Bill,

Mine's really fast with Internet Explorer, but Netscape 7.0 crashes when I press "login".

Don't know if my Netscape is suirrely, or if the site hates Netscsape. The former I think.

No problems here, either. Infact, seems quicker than the old site to me.

Hi!

No problems here with Netscape 7.02 and Windows XP.

Try clearing your cache regularly.

This host is 4-5X faster than the old one. They have huge pipes going into the backbone. Send me your information - Browser, OS, etc, and I will see if there are any issues reported with the board software. This is the occasional side of upgrading software like this. The old one was set up to work with browsers of it's time, so it rarely had issues. This board is designed for what's current now. The main problem with the old board was the fact that it had to download EVERYTHING. This board is faster, and the host is faster, so we shouldn't see too many speed issues.
I will most likely start the home page development tomorrow, and start putting evertything in. We will start redesigning the board layout over the week.
Thanks
Ct..

Hi!

Another thing to check in Netscape is how often you refresh a page in the cache. You set this preference on the same window that you clear your cache.

From the top Netscape menu: Edit . . . Preferences . . . expand the Advanced tab . . . cache . . .

I have mine set to "when the page is out of date" You can always click refresh/reload to get the latest if you think it is not updating messages.

You may also want to see how much space you have allocated to your disk cache. I increased mine a long time ago and it improved performance.

At one time, I also had a heck of a time with a couple of sites when I was using Netscape 6.0 and was advised to clear all cookies and start over again. Cookie settings are accessed under the Privacy and Security tab under preferences.

Good luck getting this resolved! I know I prefer Netscape over Internet Explorer by a great margin.

Chris, LOL, actually knowing better, I should have figured it was the connection, but I noticed how fast it downloaded right away, but at the same time you converted the board over to the new host, I had upgraded my processor and motherboard to something 4 times faster than what I was using. (Went from a PIII 500 to a AMD 2.1G almost to the day you converted). As this site is set as my start page, every time I'd go to check something else out on the web, before, I'd simply hit stop, and type in my link, before anthing had a chance to load, after the upgrade, I noticed the whole web page would load in the time it took between hitting the IE button, and the stop button. (Cable modem). But yes, I can see a significant increase in speed with the site. Thanks bunches Chris!
