Default Sofa Bed Re-upholstery

Good day all,

I was wondering if anyone has re-upholstered their slide out sofa bed?  Removing the bottom & back cushions seem easy enough, but the side upholstery which is attached to the slideout appears will be more difficult.  Unlees I've missed it, coundn't find any previous info using search.

Thanks

It shouldn't be too hard to recover.

I pulled the sides of mine out the first summer, to clean and repair the frame.  The wooden fram is just screwed to the floor in a few places.  Once you remove the screws, it just lifts right out.

I recomend using some good glue and maybe a couple screws to firm up the frame before you reinstall it.  Ours was just stapled together and the staples were pulling out...

There's some newer batting on the market that attaches to the old fabric, and the new fabric by simply applying your iron.  No tacking, no stapling, just iron and stick; and perhaps add a little trim.   :

Happy trails!
