Default Kamloops area and Highway 5A

If you ever travel to BC, avoid the Coquihalla. It's not very picturesque, and the highway was built to be a superhighway to the interior. Everyone is in a hurry on the Coquihalla.

Highways 5A, which goes between Kamloops and Merrit, but east of the Coquihalla, is much prettier to look at. I stopped several times to take a break, and take a few pictures. I will probably use the Fraser Canyon next time. There are fewer travelers on these highways, and as long as you pull over and let people pass when they have the dashed yellow line, everyone's happy.
