Default Great Basin National Park

Has anyone been to Great Basin NP? This is the least visited national park in the country (70,000 visitors last year) but is only about 4 hours from us. I really knew nothing about it until an article appeared in the local paper today describing the streams, lakes and 13,000' peak in the middle. Apparently it is an alpine wonderland surrounded by the desert.

Would be interested in other's experiences here.
