Thanks for the advice. I hope to take a look at a couple in 2 weeks...

Has anyone set up like at a walmart parking lot or rest stop overnight while traveling?

Good luck.
Had the recent occasion to set up in Walmart. Traveling home from a camping trip and got tired of the drive and we wanted to shack up in a hotel/motel but all were booked that night. Found a WM and asked the manager and he said no problem. No issues. Had a little breakfast with sandwiches sitting in camping chairs the next morning and shoppers were somewhat leering at us.

The first night after buying our used 3124KS we stopped at a Wallyworld. We had driven about 5 or 6 hours to look at the TM and were quite tired so we only went a few stops down from where we got it. We were at a 24 hour WM and asked the manager first. They did well off us because we had to buy a battery and some supplies. We also ate at the Subway inside, both dinner and breakfast.

I'd suggest aiming for 2009.5 or newer.
Usually if it has tinted windows that is a good but not absolute indication that it is that vintage or newer.
Good luck.

Have found that I can open up the TM without having to unhitch the TV which is handy at a rest stop or the mart of the Wal.

From what I have seen the design was pretty stable after 2003 and the major differences were cosmetic. So I would think that for anything later that the condition and options fitted would be more important than year though I would look for 15" wheels with recent LR D or E tires.

Most vehicles don't age well. You might get lucky and find an older, low mileage one that was garaged and taken care of, but that is an ideal scenario that does not happen very often. So the newest you can afford, I say the better, assuming it has been treated with respect!

When we drove to Colorado to pick up our 2010 2619 a year ago we stopped for the night at a large truck rest stop that had restrooms and it was great to leave it hooked up (except the electrical) and spend the night. No overnight cost and had a full battery so lights and furnace worked and very compfy with quick set up / take down. I love the fact that you can set up and remain connected to the truck.
