Default Bathroom Cabinets, and storage. Uses other than mouse house?

I have found the bathroom cabinets are really only able to hold two things: 1) mouse droppings under the sink and around the wheel well and 2) toilet paper, for the mouse to chew, and toilet chemicals in the skinny cabinet under the mirror.

The space under the sink seems pretty unusable to me. I was wondering if anyone actually uses these areas, at all?

Hair dryer, electric hair rollers, toilet paper, toilet chemicals, and first aid kit under the sink. Other cabinet...drugs, face wipes, hair spray, hair accessories, etc. All very convenient for me!

I roll up our towels, hand towels, and wash cloths and they all fit under there. Also toilet chemicals. I stuff it full.

Removing these storage areas would not keep mice out. Seal the entries they are using. The places they leave poop are often where they squeeze out. They empty themselves before the squeeze. The wheel wells are probably the #1 problem, followed by wire entries. Look on top of the refrigerator too.

I don't like that there are passages all the way from the dinette sofa to the bathroom sink. I might try sealing some of that. I am putting in the Domestic compressor fridge, so will work on that when I pull the Norcold out.

Default Bathroom Storage

Under the sink - toilet chemicals, toilet paper, toiletries in zip lock bags, laundry detergent, slippers
Next to sink - two 8" square (approx) plastic containers with first aid items {sit on their sides on the bottom shelf}, sun screen, insect repellent, hair dryer, cosmetics in zip lock bags
See also photo below of hanging pockets I use in the bathroom to hold lots of small cosmetics, hair items, jewelry.

Mice - we have been successful in deterring them with Bounce strips, peppermint oil on cotton balls, and Fresh Cab cedar bags (available at Tractor Supply and Amazon) - and when you open your TM in the spring, it smells delicious!

Speaking of the bathroom cabinet. Does anyone know where I can get a diagram or steps to remove the cabinet to get at the plumbing under the vanity? In the process of removing the Thetford and putting in a Thetford Aqua V and need to get at the plumbing to run a waterline. While removing the trim around the bottom of the toilet I found a petrified solid hard field mouse!! Could have used it for a rock.

Why go to all the trouble of trying to remove the bathroom cabinet when you can get a feed water supply off of the cold water drain valve and then up thru the floor...or from the outside shower and run it thru the side of the tub. I used the outside shower cold water feed to install a "T" so I could put in a potable water hose reel and water filter to feed the whole trailer. It turned out to be a very tight fit and a can of worms, but I accomplished what I needed to do. The easiest way is just to put a "T" on the cold water drain stem and run the feed thru the floor and up to your new toiddy. All you need is a piece of 1/2"X ? Pex, some Shark Bite fittings : 1 "T", and 2-3 elbo's (depending how it will run to the toilet valve), a cut off valve, and a drill with a small hole saw...you can do this in about 45 minutes. Be sure and seal up the hole with some rigid spray foam when you're done.
Check out the photos on my website http://www.trickmytrailmano.com under "Toilet Swap".

Tom, a potential problem I see with your method (tap into the drain, bring up through floor) is in winter camping. That may freeze and render the toilet flushless. Something to keep in mind. If all camping is in warmer-than-freezing, no problem.

That was my next step. We use the TM about 3-5 weeks out of the season. All of it during warm temps. Thanks so much Tom! And LovetoCamp for the very up front suggestion that brings to mind to be sure the line is soooo empty for winter storage!!
