I guess what I mean is a rivet nut. I'm aware of the weakness, strength of TM walls. Owned 2 TM's over the past 15 years. Towed coast to coast, so trust me, I'm aware of loose screws....

Yes, a "blind" rivet nut. Tools and nuts are inexpensive on Amazon.

I think the wall has a layer of aluminum, layer of luan plywood, foam, luan plywood, aluminium?
I would think the aluminum and luan plywood would be strong enough to hold an expanding anchor, which is holding a light weight curtain?

I'm sure the floor has all that. Less sure about the shells. I pulled off part of a roof vent and saw aluminum-foam-aluminum.

I would agree. After a certain date in the early 2000's, TM stopped using wood supports in some areas of the walls. I would expect to see wood structure of some type in the floor.

It sounds like there is no framing inside the wall. TM is able to support filled cabinets hung from those hangers on the aluminum skin. I'd say it's perfectly safe to hang valances from the wall, which is what Walt wants to do.
The only question I would be asking at this point is the best hanger or clip to use, and the best fastener. I've chosen to go with z-clips available from Amazon. I'm debating whether to use screws or rivets. I believe rivets are the better choice when it comes to securing something to sheet metal. Screws will tend to enlarge the hole over time, especially if over-torqued. Blind rivets are more difficult to remove if necessary.
In the centre of the TM, the inside aluminum skin has a second surface bonded to it. it may not be a good idea to use a rivet on these portions of the wall because rivets will just crush the softer surface and not grip to the aluminum wall.
Rivets? Screws? I don't know yet.
