Default Not TM but...

As I posted before we will probably be selling our 2008 2720SD as wife does not want to keep crawling over me to get out of bed and does not want to keep taking down the dinette everyday... So we have been thinking of aa Wolf Pup by forest river 2019 model 16FQ wolf pup patriot edition .

Can anyone shed light on this trailer? does it hold up well, is there quality in forest river Cherokee products... We love the TM great quality and very dependable just I think getting older we both probably want something that does not need assembling

thanks

Default Wolf Pup

Craig, I do not know anything about the Wolf Pup line quality; I would assume for your purposes it is a middle-of-Indiana construction quality. Some staples hit the wood, some don't. Even in the Forest River Rockwood Signature line, that is true (close friends have one, and it has had pex fitting leaks, loose screws, roof seal leaks, the usual drama with these trailers.) That said, the Forest River line is a good one, and if you buy from a dealer you can likely get most of these small issues worked out within the first year.

My first thought is that your current 2720SD seems to have better seating during the day than the Wolf Pup's single seat dinette.

Otherwise, the cabinets, shirt closets by the bed, etc, should work out about the same as the TM. Good counter work space, generous lavatory area.

Nice looking, light weight trailer. Hope you find one that meets your needs. We are also looking to move to a trailer that takes less manual pulling and tugging to get ready to camp.

Thanks for the reply, I looked at a wolf pup locally and I just cant go down in quality from the TM for it. The cabinet had contact paper that was starting to come loose already. We will just have to keep crawling up and over each other for awhile .
When my wife makes up our minds , I will then know which way we go. lol

I think you will find a trailer that size, after owning a TM, Will seem very small. We just traded the other way round. The difference is amazing for us. The 16 ft was just too small and we are small people. Good luck.

Craigrrr- What about moving to a king size bed model TM? With a decent step stool that may be the answer to your issues.

Very true, I looked at a 18' tt today. single axle and it just seems so small and the build quality just not there like in a TM. I wanted to stay in the lightweight class dry W. 3000 or less. single axle, with plenty of windows. but they just are not out there. That feels as roomy as the TM

Default And here's another thought

Have you tried sleeping parallel to the side walls, instead of the rear wall?
My DW and I are about 5'10" tall and most of the time sleep on our sides anyway.
So, putting pillows against the rear wall and feet toward the bathroom
wall or the wardrobe wall has worked for us. I admit, occasionally one of us will
be awoken unexpectedly in the middle of the night by a slight budge, but it's
not a bad as feeling someone crawl over you.

Hope this helps.
