Question Recommend a Campground

We are getting prepared for second trip to Gatlinburg TN. The first time we stayed at Twin Creek which was expensive but really nice. This time we want to try a different one maybe in Pigeon Forge. Anyone have any recommendations?

We are thinking about trying Creekside.

We live about an hour and a half away from Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge but rarely camp there (too crowded for us) but there are a few nice campgrounds in Townsend, which is on the back side of Pigeon Forge and close to the Cades Cove area of the Smokies (Beautiful part of the Smokies)

I've included a link above to visit some of the Townsend campground pages.

Regards,

Bob

We stayed at Riversedge in Pigeon Forge to visit Dollywood last Christmas. It's on small creek and close to the highway but it offered full hook up and was very reasonable that time of year

I appreciate the comments we have made reservations at Creekside in Pigeon Forge this time for our sons Birthday/Thanks Giving. We also have an appointment at Trail Manor for a little warranty work. As for crowds I guess we are weird we don't mind crowds really. We actually bought the TM so we could meet more sociable people than we met in resorts & hotels. We have owned our business for 15 yrs so we are very social.

Funny RiversEdge was also on the short list we drove thru it last trip but it seemed awful close to the road which made us wonder about road noise.

We will be going to Gatlinburg more than anywhere so I am still open to suggestions for future stays.

From what we have been able to research Creekside seems like a nice Park. We are definitely Yuppie Campers we want our full hookups. I was a Boy Scout so I have done my share of roughing it though.
