Cassette toilet install
My Thetfort c 200 electric arrived today. Unfortunately ( or fortunately I'm going soon on a ten day trip). The install will have to wait
2 wires DC and one hose for water, then the door , looks like getting the existing out will take longer.
I'll post more pics as I start/ finish the conversion.

I'll stick with the one I have, thank you. Works great for my needs. Best of luck with the install, Skip.

When the factory installs this type of toilet, do they have two openings in the shells so that you can get to the cassette when both shells are down?

Don't think so, window may be in way?
I'll have two tanks, one will always be empty.

I have a factory installed cassette toilet and you cannot access it outside when shells are down. I take my new TM on my first trip in a couple of weeks, and I've been reading a lot of posts to learn all I can before I go. One thing i've noticed from a lot of postings I've read is the desire to access things while the TM is closed and owners have come up with a lot of creative workarounds.
I'm still puzzling over a couple of things... 1) how am I going to deal with getting fresh water in tank and when am I going to do it (first night on my trip will be dry camping) and, 2) I'm not sure how to handle gray water. I looked underneath TM and see what looks lik a big black container of some sort and wondering if that's where the gray water goes.

The grey water will be stored in a tank underneath, water is from sinks and tub/ shower. You will need to dump that at sometime depending on how much you use. That can be done with shells down. You will need a sewer hose and a place to dump, either a sewer dump facility, or a tank, which would still need dumped.
Most places frown upon dumping gray water on site but some do.
Your cassette will need dumped at a facility, either a dump station, or somewhere at the camping area depending on where you are staying, it varies.

That's interesting, so the only advantage to a Thetford Cassette over a Thetford Curve is you pull an enclosed container out of the side door of an open trailer vs walking an enclosed container out through the trailer door. Not much of an advantage for the price difference, but to each their own.
