I prefer soldered connections. I have seen crimp connections fail. I have never seen one of my solder connections fail.

I use crimp connections in situations where I want to be able to undo the crimp. If I want it to be permanent I use solder.

I see no reason to want to undo a connection used for primary power.

Yup, I'm with you. I simply don't trust home-crimped connections - like you, I have seen too many of them fail. So I crimp, then solder.

Default 30 amp fuse and multi-stage converters

Many multi-stage conevrters in the Boost mode are pushing 30 amps. Is anyone having trouble with blown fuses during battery charging?
